Good Afternoon, Well the chores are done with the livestock. And all I have left is to mow the back yard. And I'm calling it a day. Ada I got the tray today!!!!! So I'll be soaking seeds tonight. That is a large tray I have to place it a little side way because of the holes going to the edge. I'll send a pic when I start the process. Thank you so much. I need something to make me smile today :)I wade the seeds and it's 4.25 pds. Do I put all seeds in that tray? Can't wait!!!!!!! Everyone have a Great Day!

Hello, Ada as you can see the sprout's are so far growing. But I really thought they would be taller and fuller??But I'll keep going. Thank you so much for all that you have done for me. I've been watching some more videos on you tube to try to do the wheat again. I want to get to that store in Dade City. But with the engine blowing in the truck makes that last on the list. Hubby is using his mother car for now. But we got lucky and was able to sell our tractor to get the cash to buy an engine. Now we have to wait for the weekend to start working on it. Well I better go. I'll send another pic tomorrow on the cell to ya. Mare Everyone have a Great Evening!

Going Morning! Well as you can see Ada the seeds did good, I'll take another pic this afternoon after I flip it over. I hope there is no mold. I'm so happy if it's good on the bottom that it is on top. I'm going to try the wheat again in that tray. The only thing I have to angle it so the water doesn't drip a long the side of my rack. And get the floor wet. If it does work I'll have to put I shower curtain down so the rug won't get wet. But that is my least problem if this works. I can't wait to start the next batch. This weekend, I have to help hubby with the truck, since my son won't be able to help on one of the days. He has plans and with my hubby health problem for now I just got to make sure he doesn't over do it. And he's the type that won't stop till the job is done. Well Everyone have a great Day!!!! Mare

First I should say that we are a chemistry company that was brought in by a dairy farm co-op to address mold issues in their large fodder systems that grow barley sprouts. We have been growing fodder for dairy cattle for 4-5 years now. We had a huge mold problem...not only Fusarium (pink or red on the bottom of the mats) as well as really fine white (spider web like) mold throughout the mats, mostly noticeable at the root line around the edges of the mat. We have not determined this species as of yet. Additionally throughout the enclosed system, on the walls, floor, etc...
The manufacturer set the system up to dose chlorine in the water, but it did nothing that we could tell throughout our trials to solve this issue. We then developed and tested extensively and product called sprout builder. We have found that the mold is completely gone and our yields have increased significantly enough to shorten the grow out cycle from 7 days to 6 days. No chlorine smell or residuals and no nutrient teas. The product is called sprout builder and it is formulated with micronutrients that prevent mold and fungal growth as well as nutrify the sprouts. No more chlorine in our cattles diet and no more mold in our system!

Hi all. Im new to this forum and I was so happy to find you! I just started trying to grow fodder for my ducks, peacocks and goats. I have 3 trays of oats started and tomorrow I am getting some barley. I lucked out and a farmer friend had a extra bag. I cant find any around here in the feed or ag stores. I read that oats are the hardest to grow. Its been 3 days and I am just beginning to see a few small sprouts. Ive read they should be in the dark for a few days and then I read they should be in the sun. What is correct? Ive already gotten some great info from this forum!
