Does anyone add anything to their fodder before they feed it out? I'm reading a book, "The Leverage Garden," where the author adds minerals to his fodder.

I add grit occasionally and some Manna egg layer supplement a couple times a week for the chickens. The rabbits just get fodder with salt and the goats just get fodder, hay and some kop-sol as needed. I do throw in a mix of dirrent fodder I grow wheat, barley, oats, corn, sunflower seeds, I dont mix them in the trays as they have different sprout rates but a tray of each so they get to taste different things.

I did see one where they added minerals to their wheatgrass but it was wheatgrass for people juicing and cant remember the name of the minerals.

I bought some Sea Minerals at the National Farm Machinery Show in Louisville last month. I've been pouring it over the barley fodder just before I give it to the heifers. If nothing else, it's salt, lol.
